200HP Soft Start Panel Rebuild

We re-built a 200HP soft start for a customer. The customer had purchased a used soft start bucket to run a 200HP motor on a extruder press. The panel came with an older model Cutler Hammer soft start that worked for a short time, then it burned out. As you can see, the wiring was a typical mess of old control system.

We stripped all of the old components and wiring out of the bucket, then began installing a new Telemecanique 200HP soft start, along with control transformer, and a bypass contactor. We had to modify the sheet metal in the bucket, and move it a couple of inches back to allow for the larger size of the new soft start.

After all components were installed, we connected the wiring

And also installed new switches and a digital display for the soft starter on the front of the panel door
